Anything the gen like Need for Speed Underground 2

Been having serious cravings for the this game for the last year or so, it's my favourite racing game ever. I want to start out with a crappy car, mod it, customise it and then save up to buy a newer one. Is there anything like this on current gen or will I just go hunting for a PS2?
