My recent experience with PS support

So on Tuesday I tried to purchase 2 games through the website and was unable to. I thought it was just a glitch so I waited until I got home and tried through the console but with no luck. I have both paypal and a credit card with paypal being the default.

I contacted support via chat and told them the problem. They told me that a 24 hour block had been placed sue to suspected fraudulent activity. Now I've had this account for years with no problems and have 2 factor authentication which didn't alert me. I had no choice but to wait it out. Not a big problem. So I waited and tried again on Wednesday evening. Same thing. Contacted support again and was told the 24 hour block had not expired even though it was over 24 hours. So I left it til today. This time I contacted support before even trying to purchase anything and have been given an entirely different spiel than before.

Today I was told that there must be a problem on my end adding funds even though I've used my paypal on there for years. The support was incredibly unhelpful and just kept repeating the same script points over and over again. So now I'm not sure what to do.

Has this happened to anyone else and how was it resolved?
