USB Mixer to PS4 connection Help [Yamaha MG10XU]

I have a Yamaha MG10XU USB mixer and I am trying to use this to connect my XLR microphone to the PS4. Every tutorial that I have seen shows a Behringer USB mixer being used and plugged into the PS4. The PS4 is recognizes a mic being plugged in immediately. This is not the case for me using my Yamaha. Anyone else having this problem? Is the MG10XU not compatible with the PS4 or is my PS4 bad? I'm not sure of anything else I can try! Thanks in advance for the help and feedback!
