I'm about 7-8 hours into the game, and I haven't even scratched the surface. All the review outlets that were saying there's almost too much to do in the game were absolutely right. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially if you like rich skill trees, weapon customization, and an overhauled and continuously impressive Orc hierarchy micromanagement system.
The combat is so good. Fighting Orcs and Uruks, especially on hard, is a rewarding challenge and you feel like a true badass when you can best a large group of them at once.
The story and characters are rather bland, but they feel more like an afterthought anyway, so just trudge though them and get to the real meat of the game; leveling up and upgrading Talion and growing and customization your Uruk army.
The micro-transactions haven't even been brought up or shown to me yet, so they're not a problem at all and I don't imagine them to be. We'll see as the game goes on though.
If you liked the first game, you will absolutely adore this one.
