When can you download new games on PlayStation Store?

I don't use my PS4 much, mostly play on Nintendo consoles. From that experience I can't usually download a game on release day when it hits midnight. I have to wait for maintenance.

I'm just really looking forward to buying Marvel vs Capcom Infinite and wondering if I should just buy it in store instead.
